RHS Wisley
£5m
As part of a £70 million planned upgrade to the Royal Horticultural Society’s welcome building and surrounding gardens and plant centre, Green Surveying worked with contractors on elements of the laboratory refurbishment, landscaping and trial gardens.
The Arts and Crafts style Laboratory building is an iconic historical landmark at Wisley, a centre for the training of horticulture students and apprentices for decades.
The modern buildings attached to the 1916 façade were removed, allowing visitors to see the historical structure in all its glory.
The half-timbered front of the Laboratory is now visible and parts of the ground floor have been opened up to the public for the first time in 100 years.
